Product Review: Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is one of those products whose hype is actually worthy of attention. This product has topped bestsellers lists for many years now, because there’s something about this rice-based formulation that provides great results. Time and time again I’ve strayed to other cleansers and exfoliators, yet I always return, as no other product gives me such consistent results.

The product comes in a large 75g tub and is powder based. Simply wet your hands and mix that moisture with the powder to provide a light paste that is then rubbed all over the face. The water activates the Salicylic Acid and Rice enzymes, which then enable them to exfoliate and smooth skin, leaving it feeling soft and free from any dirt.

Unlike many other exfoliating washes this is actually gentle enough to be used every day and it’s really kind on sensitive skin. The fact that the formula is in powder format means that a tub lasts a ridiculously long time- I’ve had mine for over a year now. Because it’s not liquid it also means it’s easy to take onto planes- major bonus if you travel a lot!

The formula is fragrance free and I really enjoy the sensation of using it as it leaves the skin feeling cleansed but not tight. It’s truly a miracle product as it can handle the thickest makeup with ease and is an easy way to add an exfoliating element to your daily routine.
